Feng Shui - TRUE LOVE
Awakening the heart so that it is open to the beauty of true love is one of the greatest gifts you can bestow on yourself.
All too often we succumb to the notion of romantic love and…not often enough do we give due consideration as to what true love really is.
There are four key ingredients that are considered important for wonderful, loving relationships and we discuss just one, this month.
Know yourself and of course, a follow on to that is to love and accept yourself – just as you are.
This is the first precept Sun Tzu espouses in his works (the Art of War – a book that can be used as sound guidance in many aspects of life).
Loving yourself sounds so simple doesn’t it? And yet I know people in their 60’s and 70’s that have not attained this basic requirement.
Personally I think that this is one of the most underrated quests of mankind and………one of the main keys to happiness. For, without ‘knowing yourself’ you cannot truly love and accept yourself (just as you are). Nor can you determine what it is, that is important to you in general terms let alone knowing what it is, that is important for you to behold in another person – especially one that you will want to live with for the long term.
Most of the time we live – half asleep – not being particularly mindful or observant around our thoughts in particular and this translates into our actions or reactions let alone the ‘Intentions’ associated with these aspects.
Insight of the Self brings with it clarity and this clarity leads to the possibility of living a more powerful and fulfilling life which must include relationships.
So, be intentional and ensure that you Know Yourself extremely well. This is the key to a happy life. When you can come to a point of knowing, accepting and loving yourself then you are in a position to truly love another. You’re then in a great position to know the type of person you can spend your life with in harmony and joy.
